Session title: Strengthen Your Cyber IBM Z and Db2 for z/OS Resilience
Session abstract: In today’s digital landscape, cyber resilience isn’t optional — it’s essential. This session will concentrate on a consistent repeatable Cyber Recovery process that significantly improves Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO)
The IBM Z Cyber Vault solution creates immutable, point-in-time copies of your production data, stored in a secure, isolated environment on IBM Storage. This clean, protected copy becomes your safety net in the event of logical data corruption — enabling forensic, surgical, or full recovery options when you need them most. But what about Db2 for z/OS ? Traditional backup recovery might leave your business hours — or even days — behind. Implementing additional steps and processes will bridge the gap between your last Safeguarded Copy backup and the point of corruption, helping you recover consistently with minimal data loss and reducing your RTO to resume business operations.
No one wants to think about the possibility of recovery until recovery is needed with immaculate execution . This session will concentrate on how to plan, design and meet your recovery point and time objectives when you have been corrupted with a ransomware attack.
