Session abstract: Take a deep dive into the world of external tables. This talk will introduce the concept of an external table within Db2. How they contrast to existing table types and when to leverage external tables.
Learn how external tables along with the power of SQL can enhance or simplify your Extract Load and Transform processing. Also discuss how external tables fit and extend existing Db2 data movement utilities and practices.
Speaker biography: Mike Springgay is the Db2 Warehouse Architect focused on the common engine components. Prior to that he was responsible for extending Db2’s SQL compatibility features, routine infrastructure and client server connectivity.
