Session title: Light at the end of the encrypted tunnel

Session abstract: Transport Layer Security (TLS, aka SSL) is the foundation of encrypting data in motion. This presentation will cover the fundamental principals of TLS encryption and working with certificates.

A solid grounding in the basics is the stepping stone to understanding the various configuration options for using TLS within Db2 and how to make your deployment of TLS a success. You will learn how to configure all of the locations within Db2 that use TLS as well as the operational details for managing certificates.

Speaker biography: Mitchell Waite is a software developer at the IBM Canada Lab. Mitchell has been a member of the security development team since 2016, where he has worked on many components of Db2 security, including encryption of data at rest, encryption of data in motion, authorization, and authentication.
