Session title: What Organizations are Doing (and Looking to Do) with Db2 for z/OS: Trends and Directions

Session abstract: You may have seen Db2 for z/OS “trends and directions” presentations at various conferences and user group meetings. They are typically given by the IBM Director of Db2 for z/OS Development, together with one of the senior architects on the development team, and they provide a look into the future: where is IBM taking the product?
This Db2 for z/OS trends and directions presentation is different: it’s a view from the ground, focused on what organizations are doing with the DBMS. You’ll hear about Db2 usage topics in the areas of open data access interfaces, application development, analytics, data encryption, availability and scalability. Through this session I hope that you will get new ideas on how to effectively leverage Db2 technology, and perhaps to get validation for what your organization is already doing with Db2.
