Session title: Tuning ETL Performance
Session abstract: This presentation looks at some general aspects for consideration with ETL workloads. Additionally, aspects that might improve the analytical query workloads including performance objects that might need to be established during ETL will be covered.
The bulk of the presentation will focus on modifying operations (INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, MERGE etc.,) that are used to manipulate the data during ETL. While important, what is not covered too deeply, is tuning for general SELECT query performance that may be part of the ETL modifying operations.
Speaker biography: Calisto Zuzarte is a Senior Technical Staff Member (STSM) in the Db2 development organization. His focus as an architect is database query optimization and performance. He holds 50+ patents and 50+ research publications in this area.
